Leo was born and raised in Miles City, Montana. He later came to Billings, where he attended Montana State University Billings, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Psychology. He then earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Montana. Leo entered the financial services industry in June 1976. He is an Investment Advisor Representative and a Registered Securities Principal of Commonwealth Financial Network, Member FINRA/SIPC. Leo focuses on helping clients with pension distribution strategies and provides advice to CPAs and attorneys. He provides generic financial education to the public and at corporate events.
Leo focuses his time on managing portfolio investments, monitoring the market for potential impact on investments, facilitating estate and tax planning, reallocating portfolios based on market changes or changes in objectives or investments goals, and determining the most appropriate methodology to be used in retirement distribution and beneficiary designations.
Leo and Sue Lapito recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. Together they have four adult children – Luke, Marci, Gabe and Lucy. Now they have five grandchildren with more on the way. Leo loves spending time outdoors! He is quite the athlete and enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, golfing.
